Priest Training Fund 2024 Appeal

“Do this in remembrance of me” (Luke 22:19)

With these words, Jesus instituted the Sacrament of Holy Orders at the last supper. This commandment is fulfilled every time a priest celebrates Mass. Quite simply, without priests, there is no Holy Eucharist.

Every year, the Diocese of Menevia launches its Priest Training Fund Appeal in April. This year, we decided to do something a bit different – well, very different actually! So, we invited two clergy to be interviewed by two members of CathSoc from Aberystwyth University to give us more insight into what seminary life is like and what it’s like being a priest. We had a great time recording Father Matt Roche-Saunders and Father Greg Beckett. The questions were great and we hope it will give you a much better idea of what seminary life priesthood is really like. And, don’t forget, there is an important reason for doing this. Your funding goes towards supporting the training of future priests.
